8.  Nathalie Parain. Je découpe [I Make Paper  Mosaics]. Paris: Flammarion, 1931.

Kiev-born Nathalie Tchelpanova Parain (1897-1958) became acquainted with Paul Faucher through her diplomat husband Brice. Her sixteen albums, which reflect the dynamic geometry of Constructivism, defined the series' hallmark style. Parain also brought together a school of avant-garde Russian illustration for children under the auspices of the publisher Flammarion when she introduced her émigré artist friends to Faucher. Every copy of Je découpe had a signature of opaque coated color papers bound in so the child had all the necessary supplies for the projects. Copies with that signature intact are very rare.
