Holdings for dissertations are normally no different from other items.

For Music theses, which are often accompanied by a score or recording, holdings can beome more complex. (See also: Music Theses) Catalog the text and the sound recording on separate bibliographic records. Assign the same call number to both volumes, treating the music as Volume 1 and the text as Volume 2.
