The Renovation is Complete….and, more Fun to Come!
After almost a decade, the Firestone renovation project is complete! With the exception of some punch list items, the books are moving into the north area of the 1st floor and students are enjoying all of the wonderful collaborative study spaces there. The Trustee Reading Room is reopening with the original floors brought back to life, new window shades on the south wall, and an abundance of study tables and chairs. There are even a few locations of soft seating. The new exhibition gallery opens on March 5th. Refer to the library webpage for detailed information.
There is one more surprise coming to Firestone and it is the Tiger Tea Room. Construction of the new space is underway and is expected to open in late June 2019. The Tiger Tea Room is located in the northeast corner of the 1st floor, connecting the east reading rooms to the north collaborative study area.
